Schubertreise, meaning 'Schubert journey', is one of the most ambitious classical music projects

 

ever undertaken: the performance of the complete Schubert songs by one singer and one pianist.

 

Begun in 2013, Irish bass Conor Biggs and Belgian pianist Michel Stas are currently performing

 

all of Schubert's 583 Lieder in the National Concert Hall, Dublin. The series comprises 39 recitals

 

and lasts ten years. Thirty programmes have been presented to date.
